In "American Crime" Jessie St. Claire (Rachel Leigh Cook), begins investigating a killer who stalks and videotapes his victims before killing them. When she herself becomes a target and suddenly disappears, the case attracts a colleague (Cary Elwes) from the nationally syndicated television show "American Crime" as well.

The film is presented in a documentary program style, taking off the style of series such as The FBI Files and The Young Detectives, both shows showcasing stories on crimes in America.

Here is the Trailer:

Lion's Gate picked up this independent thriller starring Annabella Sciorra, Cary Elwes, Cyia Batten, Rachael Leigh Cook, Michael O'Neill, Kip Pardue and Frankie Ray.

I worked with the same production team as "Cookers," but the two films could not be more different.

Where "Cookers" was claustrophobic film involving just three characters, "American Crime" had a larger cast, and the film shifts between multiple points of view.
